THE WAY, TRUTH & LIFE
This imagery-rich coffee table book colorfully showcases verses from scripture in a succinct, storytelling manner. From bright and hopeful to dark and serious, the reader experiences the gospel story through bold typography and colorful, abstract graphics. This book highlights the beauty and truth of each verse by presenting them in cleanly designed graphic compositions.

OVERVIEW
Striking typography, a vibrant color palette, and abstract illustrative imagery bring each composition together; each one is both eye-catching and deeply meaningful.




BRAND DEVELOPMENT
I began by collecting various inspirational imagery with a mix of abstract and literal forms, organic textures, and muted, yet vibrant, color palettes. I was drawn to the relationships between geometric and organic motifs.

I moved on to some graphic exploration by experimenting with a variety of elements in this composition. As I played with imagery and typography, the relationship between the two developed into something playful and exciting.

That exploratory composition (above) helped me develop my brand toolkit (below). My typeface choices and textures ranged from more simple to quite bold. Beginning with this brand palette gave me a clear direction as I began laying out the books's spreads.

CONTENT ORGANIZATION
When it came to content, I simplified the gospel into four main points, each with its own title image, color palette, and visual language. The title images (below) were tied together with imagery based on hands. So, the book as a whole is visually cohesive, but each of the four sections has its own slightly unique visual language, too.
